Your Real Work Is Your Best Content Library

You may already have your next month of website and social content in your camera roll.

Filed under Content. Practical notes from Baer Paw Marketing for businesses in North Idaho and beyond.

Document, do not manufacture

Before-and-after photos, a finished fabrication, a new menu item, or the team preparing for a job can tell a more convincing story than a generic stock image. Ask permission before showing a customer, their home, vehicle, or private details. Good lighting and a clean frame usually matter more than a complicated camera setup.

Add the story the image cannot tell

What problem did the customer bring you? What decision made the job work? What should someone considering the same service know? A two-sentence caption can turn a photo from decoration into an answer.

Help people and search engines understand it

Google’s image guidance recommends descriptive file names, relevant surrounding text, and useful alt text. “Custom steel flatbed fabricated for a work truck in North Idaho” says more than “IMG_4821.” For accessibility, describe the meaningful image rather than stuffing every city name into the alt text.

Make a repeatable rhythm

After each project, save three shots: the process, the finished result, and a detail you are proud of. Add one sentence about the challenge and one about the outcome. That becomes a case-study seed, a website gallery entry, and a social post. You do not need to post every day to show that real work is happening.
